With societal pressures to look your best we look to our most revered celebrities as icons in beauty and fashion. Believe it or not, most of these stars were not born the way they now appear.
Blake Lively
Back in 2005, Blake Lively was known for being an actress in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Gossip Girl. A lot has changed since then. She’s now married to Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, has two kids, and has had some work done.
Though the star has famously avoided the topic, Blake appears to have had her nose refined on at least one occasion. Many speculate that she has had multiple rhinoplasty procedures since 2010 to get to the nose that she has today. Rumors have also circulated that she’s had a procedure to make her face look more refined and to manage her hooded eyelids.
Jane Fonda
Two-time Oscar winner Jane Fonda is a well-known fitness guru and fashion model, but gravity has had the same impact on her as the rest of us.
Jane admitted to having work done on her eyes, chin and neck in early 2010. “It was a hard decision to make, and I decided if I’m going to do it, I’m going to tell the truth,” she told ET late 2010. “I’m writing a book about aging, so I can’t write that book and not say I’ve had plastic surgery. And you know, I just decided it was for me — I don’t want to have bags under my eyes that make me look tired, and so forth and so on.”
That said, the star has not always enjoyed talking about her procedures. In 2018, Jane made headlines when she attempted to change the subject away from her cosmetic procedures during an interview with Megyn Kelly. During an interview on the Today Show, Jane’s friend and frequent co-star Lily Tomlin also implied that Jane has undergone a facelift in the past.
Simon Cowell
Simon Cowell is well known for being the harshest judge on American Idol. Many people would be shocked to know he’s 58 years old!
Simon has admitted to having Botox, laser resurfacing, and several other noninvasive procedures. Simon has been particularly open about his procedures, and has even recently stated that he went “overboard” on Botox over the last decade.
Enrique Iglesias
Enrique became a pop sensation in the late 90s, but his fans frequently pointed out his large mole on his right cheek
Enrique wasn’t too fond of the mole himself and had it surgically removed in 2003. Rumours have also circulated for year that Enrique has undergone a hair transplant.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson
The rock is known for his roles in The Fast and the Furious franchise and his bulging WWE muscles. At 6’5” and 260lbs, the former University of Miami football player starts his workout at 4 am to maintain his impressive physique.
Despite his frequent workout routine and lean diet, The Rock was unable to get rid of his ‘man boobs.’ He has admitted to undergoing gynecomastia surgery to have them removed in his youth.
Megan Fox
Megan Fox was one of the hottest stars of the late 2000’s, appearing in hit blockbusters like Transformers in 2007.
Megan did a little ‘transforming’ herself, when she got a rhinoplasty to remove a small bump on her nose, and laser skin resurfacing to remove acne scars.
Demi Moore
Demi made a splash on the Hollywood scene with her 1990 debut alongside Patrick Swayze in Ghost. When she started dating, her now ex, Ashton Kutcher, the public was amazed at how youthful she looked.
Many believe Demi has had several facial enhancement procedures, including a mini facelift, Botox, and fillers.
Tyra Banks
After years of denying it, Tyra has admitted that she underwent a rhinoplasty procedure at the start of her modelling career. The businesswoman and multi-talented star has advocated for openness and an end to the stigma associated with cosmetic surgery.
“I get really uncomfortable when women who are these natural beauties judge anybody who does anything to themselves,” Tyra said in an interview with People. With Time magazine consistently ranking her among the world’s most influential people, Tyra’s honesty may have a real impact on the taboo nature that still surrounds cosmetic surgery.
