Galderma is a pharmaceutical subsidiary owned by Nestlé Skin Health. The subsidiary provides “a comprehensive portfolio of aesthetic treatments for subtle, natural-looking results.” Nonsurgical treatments offered help soften the aging process and upkeep to maintain results require repeated applications. Galderma has set up a rewards program to encourage repeat customers. We investigated how the program works and let you know how to make the most of your membership rewards.

What is the Aspire Rewards program?

Aspire Rewards by Galderma is an online, points-based loyalty reward program. Aspire Rewards was started several years ago to encourage patients to stay loyal to Galderma’s suite of cosmetic services. The rewards mainly include injectable cosmetic treatments. Aspire Rewards works like other loyalty programs for retailers and airlines. Basically, you earn points on certain products and treatments and can redeem those points toward future treatments. Learning more about how points are awarded can help maximize the benefits received from the program.

Galderma’s Aspire Rewards program offers special bonuses and discounts just for spending money on products you may be using anyway, which include:

How do you become a member?

Joining Aspire Rewards is a fast, free and easy way to begin saving on cosmetic treatments in Galderma’s suite of popular products. You must be at least 18 years old to sign up for membership.

Once you are on the website, you will be asked to enter basic contact information, including your name, address, zip code, e-mail and birthday. Then, you will have to answer a few simple questions on past treatments and whether you also belong to Allergan’s Brilliant Distinctions Program. After this information is provided, the site will create a username and password and you’re ready to go. Note, you will receive $20 USD off your next treatment just for creating your account.

How does the point system work?

Using Galderma products isn’t the only way to earn points. You can also spread the word and receive 100 reward points for up to five referred friends who join the program.

As mentioned, you will instantly receive $20 USD in treatment certificates for joining the program. You can then earn points for treatment certificates that feature the entire Galderma portfolio, including Dysport, Sculptra and the Restylane family of products. In addition, points are awarded for taking bonus quizzes.

Progressive membership tiers

The program assigns different membership levels to you that each provide new incentives and opportunities to earn points. Here is the general breakdown of the existing tiers:

  • Base: 0-249 points
  • Connector: 250-499 points
  • Insider: 500-999 points
  • Royalty: 1,000-1,499 points
  • VIP: 1,500 or more points

After joining as a Base member, patients earn points by receiving qualified treatments to move to the next level. To maintain that status, you must do at least one qualified Galderma treatment per year. Connectors can exchange points for treatment certificates and reward cards redeemable at partner retailers. Insiders can turn points into cash that can be used with a check card. Royalty members unlock unique experiences, like spa days with friends and more cash back opportunities. Naturally, VIP members enjoy even greater access to rewards and exclusive experiences.

What point value is attached to each treatment?

We break down how many points you can earn per purchase and describe briefly what each qualifying treatment entails.

Dysport – 200 points per visit

A neuromodulator/neurotoxin that works like Botox. It temporarily improves the look of frown lines and wrinkles between the eyebrows.

Restylane, Restylane Silk, Restylane-L or Perlane – 400 points per visit

These fillers target and correct undesired facial wrinkles or folds of moderate to high severity –for instance, the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth. These products make the skin around the nose and mouth fuller and more voluminous and can be used to enhance lips in patients over 21 years of age.

“I really like using the Galderma portfolio of products which include some of my favorites Restylane Refyne, Defyne and Lyft as well as Dysport,” admits Dr. Allison Singer, a dermatologist in Dallas. “The Restylane portfolio of products give a very natural look as they are made up of hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies. They’re very flexible and move as your facial expressions move, so they are able to enhance areas like cheeks and lips in a very subtle way,” she concludes.

Dr. Katerina Gallus is a plastic surgeon in San Francisco with over a dozen years’ experience in treating patients with neuromodulators and fillers, including the Galderma product line. She notes that “As far as fillers go, Restylane is the original hyaluronic acid filler and is a gold standard.”

Dr. Lara Devgan, a New York City plastic surgeon, says “I like Restylane Refyne and Defyne because they are part of the newest generation of hyaluronic acid fillers. They have enough structural integrity to soften deep wrinkles and folds but a unique flexible property that allows them to move naturally when you smile or frown. In 2018, patients want to look natural above all else, so this combination of flexibility and support is ideal for a pretty but not plastic looking result.”

Sculptra Aesthetic– 500 points per visit

This treatment is used for shallow to deep nasolabial (i.e. the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth) folds and contours, or other facial wrinkles. It provides a more gradual transition to the end result as collagen is replaced over a series of treatments.

Dr. Lisa Airan, a New York City dermatologist, admits that “Sculptra Aesthetic is my go-to choice for natural looking reshaping of the face.” She explains that “Sculptra stimulates fibroblasts in the skin to produce collagen in response to the bead. This means long-lasting results are achieved by the patient producing their own collagen in areas where they have lost collagen due to aging. This is why I love Sculptra as it is the only product of its kind in the marketplace.”

Loyalty Bonus – 200 points

You’ll also receive points for the ongoing usage of certain Galderma treatments over a period of time. For example, using Dysport 4 times within 2 years will earn you 200 bonus points and so on.

How to redeem points?

The Aspire rewards program works best if you are already a user of Galderma products and are looking to maintain the same results that you have achieved with their existing suite of aesthetic treatments. If you want to cash in on reward points, first make sure to ask your specialist if they participate in the program. In your account, you should be able to track points and turn them into “treatment certificates” to use towards your next Galderma treatment appointment. You can convert your Aspire Rewards points into savings at your next treatment. Like other loyalty programs, the more qualified treatments you receive, the more you save.
